Mrs. Mercer was awarded The Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund scholarship for a fully funded, three week study tour to Japan in November 2004. She  visited schools, businesses and cultural institutions. A highlight of the program was a home stay with a Japanese family. During the year she will be sharing her experiences with our school and the Rosemont community.

Fifth grade students made 1,000 origami cranes. Mrs. Mercer placed them at the Peace Memorial in Hiroshima.
